We are excited to officially announce that our CEO, Vincenzo ‘Enzo’ Clemente will be participating on a CEO Roundtable at Telecom Exchange, the premier industry networking event where communications and technology meet on June 22 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The roundtable, entitled, “Fiber in the City: Analyzing the Need for New Metro Dark Fiber Builds in and Around NYC,” will take place from 1:20 to 2:05 p.m.
This roundtable topic is more than appropriate for Cross River Fiber, as we are currently expanding our network by more than 50 miles with the construction of a new high-density fiber optic cable system. With that said, Cross River Fiber already offers a dense fiber network throughout its footprint that is secure and scalable, and allows access to dark fiber, wavelength, Ethernet and other critical network services.
Telecom Exchange opted to include this roundtable due to the fact there are multiple providers constructing fiber routes to and from key colocation sites and multi-dwelling buildings all over the city of New York – across rivers, throughout the five boroughs, into Long Island as well as northern New Jersey. The panel of experts, including Mr. Clemente, will examine the question
of whether the need justifies all of the builds and their corresponding spend. The panel will also focus on drivers and benefits for these new networks, the challenges within the competitive marketplace and the new opportunities on the horizon.
The three other panelists joining the “Fiber and the City” roundtable at TEX will include Adrian Shatku, CEO for Unifi Communications, Ray LaChance, President & CEO for ZenFi Networks and Cliff Kane, CEO of Cleareon Fiber Networks. The roundtable will be moderated by Richard Lukaj, Senior Managing Director for Bank Street.
“I very much am looking forward to this discussion with my colleagues who are working to provide dark fiber throughout New York City and northern New Jersey,” says Mr. Clemente. “This is an incredibly important topic and is a driving force behind the ways in which this vital part of the world is becoming more and more connected. I look forward to discussing the benefits and the future of this connectivity.”
